Game Name: Snakes & Ladders Lucky Gems Game Price: £2.00 There is a 1 in 3.20 overall chance of winning a Prize on each Play of the Game. By choosing "Continue" on the "Buy Instant Win Game" page a Player is committed to the purchase of a Play, and the value of the purchase will be deducted from his National Lottery Account. In playing this Game, Players acknowledge that it is a game of chance, that the outcome of a Play in the Game is pre-determined by the Interactive System at the point of purchase, and that the winning of a Prize in the Game does not involve the exercise of any skill or judgement by a Player. Play Style, Play Symbols and determining a Valid Winning Play for Snakes
& Ladders Lucky Gems At the start of a Play, the Player is presented with an instruction in the centre of the Game Play Window. The instruction is as follows: "Choose your lucky playing piece". To commence a Play, the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over one of the two playing pieces and click. The Player is then presented with a Snakes and Ladders board (the "Board"). The Board contains 49 squares numbered 1 through to 49. A square may also contain part of a snake or ladder or be designated as a Lucky Gem square, an Instant Win square, a Mini Game square or a Free Roll square. Lucky Gem squares contain a green gem symbol. Instant Win squares are yellow and contain the word "WIN" and a monetary amount, for example, "WIN £10". Mini Game squares contain a lamp symbol and the words "MINI GAME". Free Roll squares contain two yellow dice symbols. The Player's playing piece, which will be used to track the Player's progress on the Board, will appear on the square numbered 1 at the bottom left of the Board. Play will commence from this square. To the left of the Board will be a table headed 'Lucky Gems' and a table headed 'Land on 3 Snakes or Ladders and win'. To the right of the Board is a 'Rolls Left Indicator' which shows the number 6 and a square with the words 'THROW DICE' around it and two dice motifs within it. To commence playing and move the playing piece, the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over the dice motifs and click to roll the dice. The playing piece on the Board will automatically move the number of squares indicated by the dice. A Player initially has six rolls of the dice with which to move around the board. If the Player rolls a double e.g. two 2s, two 3s etc he will be given an extra roll of the dice. After the first roll of the dice the 'Rolls Left Indicator' will show the Player how many rolls of the dice remain in that Play. The consequences of the Player's playing piece landing on particular squares are listed below. 1. If the Player's playing piece lands on a square which is occupied by the bottom of a ladder, the Player's playing piece will move up the ladder to the square at the top of the ladder, from where play will resume. In addition, when a Player's playing piece moves up a ladder, a ladder symbol will be highlighted in the table headed 'Land on 3 Snakes or Ladders and win'. If a Player's playing piece lands on a square which is occupied by the bottom of a ladder three times during a Play, the Player wins £10. 2. If the Player's playing piece lands on a square occupied by a snake's head, the Player's playing piece will move down the snake to the square at the bottom of the snake, from where play will resume. In addition, when a Player's playing piece moves down a snake, a snake symbol will be highlighted in the table headed 'Land on 3 Snakes or Ladders and win'. If a Player's playing piece lands on a square which is occupied by a snake's head three times during a Play, the Player wins £5. 3. If a Player's playing piece lands on a Lucky Gem square, the bottom green gem symbol will be highlighted in the table headed 'Lucky Gems'. If the Player's playing piece lands on another Lucky Gem square, the next green gem symbol in the table headed 'Lucky Gems' will be highlighted, and so on. If the Player's playing piece lands on three or more Lucky Gem squares during a Play, the Player wins the amount to the right of the last green gem symbol that was highlighted in the table headed 'Lucky Gems'. 4. If a Player's playing piece lands on an Instant Win square, the background of that square will flash orange, and remain flashing until the Play is complete. The Player will win the amount indicated by the amount below the word 'WIN' in that square. The winning amount will be displayed in a table that will appear to the left of the Game Play Window headed 'INSTANT WIN PRIZE'. 5. If a Player's playing piece lands on a Mini Game square, one of two mini games will be displayed in the Game Play Window. a) Lucky Dice Mini Game - The Player is presented with the instruction "THROW ONE OF YOUR DICE AND SEE IF YOU'VE WON A PRIZE!". To Play the mini game, the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over one of the red dice which are to the right of the Game Play Window and click. The number rolled by the die will match one of the numbers displayed. The Player can win the monetary amount or the symbol displayed to the right of the combination. The Player will win nothing if 'NO PRIZE' is displayed to the right of the combination. If he wins a monetary amount it will be displayed in the table headed 'INSTANT WIN PRIZE'. If he wins a Lucky Gem symbol he will get an additional gem in the table headed 'LUCKY GEMS'. If he wins a snake or ladder symbol he will get an additional snake or ladder in the 'Land on 3 Snakes or ladders and win' table. If 'FREE ROLL' is displayed to the right of the number which matched the die, he will win a free roll of the dice. b) Magic Lamp Mini Game - The Player is presented with the instruction "CLICK ON THE LAMPS AND MATCH 2 FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN A PRIZE". Four lamp symbols are displayed. The Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over each lamp symbol and click. The lamp symbols can be selected in any order. The lamp symbol will disappear to reveal another symbol or an amount. If the Player matches two like monetary amounts, he will win one of those monetary amounts and this amount will be displayed in the table headed 'INSTANT WIN PRIZE' . If he matches two snakes or two ladders he will get an additional snake or ladder in the 'Land on 3 Snakes or Ladders and win' table. If he matches two free roll symbols he will get an additional roll of the dice. If he matches two Lucky Gem symbols he will get an additional gem in the table headed 'LUCKY GEMS'. Having played the mini game, the Player will be automatically returned to the Board. 6. If a Player's playing piece lands on a Free Roll square, the Player is entitled to an additional roll of the dice. A Player's Play ends when he has exhausted all of his rolls of the dice. A message will appear to the right of the Game Play Window informing the Player of the total amount he has won, if any. The Player of a Play of this Game having achieved one of the following criteria listed in the table below, shall, subject to the Rules, be entitled to a Prize as detailed in the table below: Criteria Prize value Prize Amounts and Odds Prize Amount Approx. odds (1 in x) Only one Prize Amount can be won per Play as detailed in the Prize Amounts and Odds table above.
