Brother
A Play Number is allocated to each Play, which can be found at the foot
of the Game Play Window.
At the start of a Play, instructions will appear in the Game Play Window.
The instructions are as follows: "There are 7 days left in the Big
Brother house. Choose a room to visit each day. If you increase 'My Gang'
by 3 or more fellow housemates or if you're 'On Air' for three days or
more, you'll win a prize. CLICK TO START GAME".
To commence a Play, the Player must use his mouse to position his cursor
over 'CLICK TO START GAME' and click. The Player is then presented with
a screen displaying:
a representation of the Big Brother house where blocks of different coloured
squares in a grid represent the different rooms;
a 'My Gang' score table;
an 'On Air' score table;
a 'Days Left' indicator which reduces by 1 day each time the Player selects
a different room;
a 'TOTAL WINNINGS' indicator;
the Player's Housemate, indicated with a 'MY GANG' label above his head;
7 other housemates, each of whom starts in a different room;
an instruction: 'Click on a room to visit it'. When the Player positions
his cursor over each of the rooms, the name and colour code for that room
appears underneath this instructional text.
To play, the Player must use his mouse to select a room to visit by positioning
his cursor over one of the coloured squares which represent the different
rooms and clicking. On clicking on a room square, the Player's Housemate
will move to the room square clicked. All the other housemates will either
move to a different room or remain in the room they are in. If any of
the other housemates end up in the same room as the Player's Housemate,
the number underneath the 'MY GANG' label changes to reflect the number
of additional housemates in the Player's gang, and an image of the additional
housemate is highlighted in the 'My Gang' score table. Once a Player has
3 or more housemates highlighted in the 'My Gang' score table, he wins
a prize.
After the housemates have stopped moving, the 'On Air' spotlight moves
around the house and settles on a room. If the spotlight settles on the
room the Player's Housemate is in, a light bulb icon in the 'On Air' score
table is highlighted in red, and the total number of 'On Airs' the Player
has accumulated appears on the side of the 'On Air' spotlight beam. Once
a player has 3 or more 'On Air' light bulbs highlighted in the 'On Air'
score table, he wins a prize.
A Player can also win a Task Bonus prize. A Player will know they have
won a bonus prize as a 'Task Bonus' message will appear on screen between
the 'My Gang' score table and the 'On Air' score table which describes
the task the housemates were successful in completing, and the amount
of the Task Bonus Prize won.
A Player's Play ends when he has used up his 7 days in the house and
the 'Days Left' indicator is at 0. When the Player's Play ends, a message
appears in the foreground informing the Player of the total amount he
has won, if any.
The Player of a Play of this Game, having won a Task Bonus prize, increased
'My Gang' by 3 or more Housemates or been 'On Air' for 3 days or more
shall, subject to the Rules, be entitled to a Prize as detailed in the
table below
